People ask me about horoscopes, do I believe in them?
Here is my response:
- What the f**k do a bunch rocks and gases floating around in space have to do with me?
- The totality of the degree to which I believe they affect people on earth is the degree to which people believe in them. For example if two people believe in horoscopes they are likely to create self fulfilling prophecies which will then have the potential to affect each other in their interaction.
- Some people have said “well if the moon and the sun can affect water (tides) and we are 90% water then surely there may be a way they can affect us” – bollix.
- Some people have said “well God used stars to show when Jesus was born and the wise men from the east were able to therefore tell the future from it” – yeah I have no answer to that one, but I sure as ell aint gonna base my lifes decisions on some 46 year old woman from the USA who smokes two packs a day while trying to decide what to write for a horoscope.
- I heard of a study whereby they gave a large group of people the same “reading” they all said it was relevant to their lives… nough said.
- Sun Tzu said that supersitions were only valueable to the degree they give someone courage, similar thinking to 2 above...
So entertain yourself, be aware of how other people view them, don't take it any more seriously than that.
