This is a small little french restaurant in Beverly Hills on Robertson just south of Wilshire.  When I say small, I mean small as a bedroom, the place holds about 50 people MAX, but is fitting such your waiter is the owner.  The decor is refined and homey with a feeling of comfortable extravagance and the owner/waiter has a sense of humor that will keep you busy while you wait for your food.  I enjoyed this atmosphere yet found an extremely outstanding annoyance of no alcohol which blatantly kept ringing in my head. 

The food is relatively cheap around $10 - $15 a meal (large portions).  Although be careful what you order.  I'm a fan of rare steak and had the sirloin which comes with a sauce made of reduced red wine and garlic shallots.  Hardly a sauce I should say, more so a gravy that was tasteless.  However, I was able to test their mushroom sauce which comes along with their New York cut and it was very good, as well as their lamb plate with a citrus thick marinade sauce.

Dessert was good, highly recommend holding out for it, very sweet creams and crepes with fresh fruit and chocolate. 

Cafe Flore has been recognized on CitySearch with a few awards, albeit, brunch and breakfast, I would have to disagree with their awarding based on my dinner.  Maybe I should try their brunch?  What's brunch without champagne?! 

Recommended for dessert and cheap beverly hills eating.
