It's inevitable, in my eyes, that services will soon begin to pop up selling electronic formats of movies online. Remember when Steve Jobs announced that Apple iPod would NOT do video? Well they did and did it pretty well, with only TV content. So the next logical step would be feature films. The interesting thing here will be, iPods are meant for portability, a decent "portable" device, in my mind, could not host a cost effective screen large enough to sate my desire to watch a movie. Will Apple come up with something to defeat this? Or will iPods eventually succumb to being used as digital media adapters?

A version of Apple Computer's iTunes Music Store that will serve up feature film downloads should debut by the end of the year at the latest, sources within the film industry told Variety.com....According to the report, there are signs Apple may bend and allow price points ranging from $9.99 to $19.99 in order to differentiate older titles from new releases....
...Nevertheless, the report states that sources within the film industry expect "an iTunes movie store to debut by the end of the year at the latest."...
