As a wise old man once said to me “David be brutally honest with yourself” – sadly those of us who have been gifted with bright minds are merely more capable of telling ourselves more complicated lies and the worst lie a man can tell is the one he tells himself and believes. Or to put it another way some people think so deeply they merely drown in their own thoughts. Thus may we live our lives if nothing else being brutally honest with ourselves.
