Ohhh one other topic we talked about last night, the honest man is the happy man. (well in this context anyway)
I know 4 people who have lived on through a specific set of circumstances and behaved differently. My observation is the honest ones are happy.
Subject A: Sat at a table where the Ebay founders came up with the idea. Didn't join, tried to be "philosophical" about it lived in pain for a while went off and tried to find himself... = not happy
Subject B: Joined microsoft at the right time made millions in options, spends the rest of his life trying to justify his wealth and proving how smart he is (which he is not)... = not happy
Subject C: Joined a start-up at the right time made millions in options, sells out tells his friends "f*ck I was lucky" = really happy
Subject D: Was part of a start-up had an option on the table to buy it, didn't take it, say "we f*cked up" is living life = basically happy
Moral to the story be lucky, say you were lucky and "eat drink and be merry for tomorrow you may die"
